CICANT and MeLCi Lab coordinator, Maria José Brites, appointed scientific advisor to the National Media Literacy Plan

Maria José Brites, researcher and board member at CICANT and coordinator of the MeLCi Lab, has been appointed scientific advisor to the National Media Literacy Plan 2025–2029 (PNLM), under Council of Ministers Resolution no. 65/2025.

With extensive work on media education, civic cultures, and digital citizenship, Brites joins the #PortugalMediaLab team to help implement this strategic initiative aimed at strengthening media literacy and critical thinking in Portugal.
