STORYline teacher training to explore citizenship and digital narratives
Universidade Lusófona – Porto University Centre will host a Short-Duration Training Course on “Youth Citizenship, Intergenerationality and Digital Narratives” on 19 November 2026. Aimed at teachers across all levels of education, the course will take place in person, from 10:00 to 13:00 and 14:30 to 17:30.
Integrated into the STORYline National Conference, the programme connects research and educational practice through plenary sessions, scientific and pedagogical presentations, and two practical workshops.
The workshops will explore gamified approaches to news literacy and comics as a teaching resource for addressing gender-based violence, offering opportunities to consider how these approaches can support classroom practice.
The initiative forms part of the STORYline research project (10.54499/2023.11571.PEX), funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), with support from CICANT.
Further information about the programme and pre-registration is available through the CICANT announcement.
