Conheça nossa equipa: Ana Filipa Oliveira

Ana Filipa Oliveira is a PhD Communication Studies from the University of Minho. She is an assistant professor at Lusófona University where she teaches several course units related to Research Methodologies and Media Creativity. Her PhD research focused on media creation and production in formal educational settings, was funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (SFRH / BD / 126433/2016). She has a degree in Communication Sciences and a Masters in Marketing and has worked for several years as a trainer and a Marketing and Communications Manager.

She is vice-chair of the Children, Youth and Media section of the European Communication Research and Education Association and an active member of several national and international associations and networks, such as the Portuguese Association of Communication Sciences and the International Association for Media and Communication Research. During her career she has been collaborating with several NGOs and institutions promoting gatherings and educational activities for children and young people focused on citizenship, society, media, and creativity.

Her research interests include youth, participation and civic engagement; creative media production, media education; digital identities and cultures; participatory methodologies; civic cultures; critical pedagogies; transformative learning; teacher Competencies, new educational environments & pedagogical approaches.
