FEMglocal’s PI joins Feminism Week at University of Minho

On March 6, Carla Cerqueira, the Principal Investigator of the FEMglocal research project, was an invited speaker at the event “Glass Ceilings and Double Standards: The Challenges of Women in Presidential Politics” organised by CECRI—the Centre for International Relations Studies at the University of Minho. The session, which took place online via Zoom, was part of Feminism Week, marking International Women’s Day.

The event provided a space for meaningful dialogue on the structural barriers women face in political leadership, particularly in presidential campaigns. It addressed issues of gender bias and unequal standards. This participation contributed to broader discussions on gender and power in global political contexts, aligning with FEMglocal’s focus on feminist perspectives in public discourse.
