III MeLCi Lab Autumn School – Call for Participants

The Media Literacy and Civic Cultures (MeLCi Lab) Autumn School “Science Bootcamp to Boost Your Research Hands-On Skills”, to be held 7th to 10th November 2023, aims to introduce PhD students to current discussions in the field, as well as capacitate PhD students with a set of hands-on research skills that help them in their projects, supporting their professional development. 

By adopting an integrative and multidisciplinary approach, the school will bring together a group of international scholars for workshops and communications to foster research skills related to scientific writing, dissemination, funding applications, and innovative methodologies. Topics covered will include,
1. digital citizenship,
2. civic cultures and social networks,
3. linking big and small data methods,
4. civic cultures and artificial intelligence,
5. civic cultures and algorithmic mediation,
6. media literacy,
7. arts-based research,
8. datafication,
9. ethics research.

MeLCi Lab is currently looking for proposals from PhD students who want to apply for the Autumn School. These applications can be submitted until the 22nd of September. More info here.
