MeLCi Lab Members Contribute to New Publication on Digital Well-being in Schools

Maria José Brites, the coordinator of MeLCi Lab, and Teresa Castro, a member of our research team, served as DGE (Directorate-General for Education) consultants and have co-authored a new publication featured in the latest recommendations for promoting digital well-being in schools.

These recommendations, released on January 29, 2025, aim to support school directors, teachers, students, and parents in fostering a healthier and more conscious digital environment in educational settings. The document was presented at the seminar “Aprender Mais Agora”, held in Coimbra, as part of the broader Plano Aprender Mais Agora initiative.

Maria José Brites and Teresa Castro’s contribution reflects MeLCi Lab’s ongoing commitment to promoting media literacy and civic cultures. Their work underscores integrating digital well-being into education policies and practices.
