Now in Portuguese: the TeaMLit course to help teachers include media literacy in their classes

The TeaMLit “Make Education more Media Literate” course, designed to help teachers and teacher educators embed media literacy (ML) in their work, is now available online in eight languages, including Portuguese.
This became possible thanks to the work of researchers from Lusófona University, CICANT, MeLCi Lab and the YouNDigital project, Lúcia Mesquita, Margarida Maneta and Maria José Brites, who translated and adapted the course to the Portuguese context.
The free course offers five modules with practical tools, theoretical foundations, and examples for applying MIL in the classroom and across schools. It also helps build a professional network around media literacy education.
This course is one of the deliverables of the TeaMLit – Teacher Education in Digital and Media Literacy: Providing Guidance, Resources and Support for Teacher Trainers in Europe –, which was an 18-month project led by the Media & Learning Association that began in January 2023, funded under the EMIF (European Media Information Fund).
Teachers and trainers can enrol now via the Academy platform: https://academy.media-and-learning.eu/p/teamlitPT
