Public Policies, Youth, and Media Education: YouNDigital Event at Lusófona University

On December 4, 2025, Lusófona University will host the event “Public Policies, Youth, and Media Education,” organised within the scope of the project YouNDigital – Youth, News, and Digital Citizenship (DOI 10.54499/PTDC/COM-OUT/0243/2021).

The initiative aims to foster discussion around media education, news consumption, and their implications for public policy, particularly concerning young people.

The programme will include two roundtables:

  • 9:30–10:00 – Opening and YouNDigital video showcase
    With Maria José Brites, Teresa Sofia Castro, and Margarida Maneta (Lusófona University, CICANT).

  • 10:00–11:15 – Roundtable: Media Education
    Participants: Alexandre Le Voci Sayad (ZeitGeist), Carla Barros (DGE), Paulo Couraceiro (GILM), and Sérgio Gomes da Silva (#PortugalMediaLab).
    Moderation by Paulo Resendes (LUSA).

  • 11:15–12:30 – Roundtable: Public Policies
    Participants: Carla Martins (ERC), José Reis (AIMA), Rui Dinis (IPDJ), and Sara Machado (Creative Europe).
    Moderation by Ana Sofia Freitas (RTP Notícias).

Admission is free. In the afternoon, a private session on Advocacy and Social Impact will take place, led by Alexandre Le Voci Sayad (ZeitGeist).
