Selma Eduarda Pereira’s ‘Hands’ Featured in Cista Arts’ ‘Fragments of Reality’ Exhibition

We are pleased to announce that MeLCi Lab member and artist Selma Eduarda Pereira is showcasing her work in the online exhibition “Fragments of Reality: Art in the Digital Age” at Cista Arts, from February 3 to 28, 2025. This exhibition explores the evolving boundaries between the tangible and the virtual, examining how technology reshapes our perception of reality.
Selma’s piece, “Hands – An Homage to Textile Craft Traditions”, is a series of artistic objects that exist simultaneously in both tangible and virtual forms. This presentation features two artifacts previously exhibited at the 48 Stunden Neukölln urban art festival in Berlin in 2024.
At the core of this work, hands serve as a powerful expressive and communicative element, deeply connected to traditional craft knowledge. These artifacts invite viewers into an interaction where the silent presence of hands is accentuated through the vibrancy of printed patterns, the articulation of gestures, and the overall composition.
We invite you to explore this thought-provoking exhibition and Selma’s innovative work at Cista Arts Exhibitions.
