YouNDigital awarded “Excellent” in final evaluation
The YouNDigital project has been awarded an “Excellent” classification in its final evaluation, recognizing the impact, scientific quality, and social relevance of the work carried out throughout its implementation.
Focused on understanding young people’s digital practices and strengthening their media literacy, YouNDigital stood out for producing innovative knowledge and generating valuable recommendations for researchers, policymakers, and professionals in the fields of communication and education.
Throughout the project, several empirical studies, educational resources, and dissemination initiatives were developed, contributing to a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities within today’s digital ecosystem, particularly among younger generations.
This distinction reinforces CICANT’s commitment to research excellence and to fostering a more informed, critical, and participatory society. It also highlights the importance of investing in projects that bridge science, media, and citizenship in a rapidly evolving technological and social landscape.
Moreover, congratulations to our MeLCi Lab coordinator, Maria José Brites, PI of the YouNDigital Project, and the members, Teresa Castro, co-PI, Margarita Maneta, and all the colleagues in Lusófona University and beyond for all their hard work and commitment.
