YouNDigital Highlights Immigrant Youth Perspectives at European Sociological Conference

At the 16th European Sociological Association Conference, held at the University of Porto from August 27 to 30, 2024, the YouNDigital project (Youth, News, and Digital Citizenship) made a significant contribution. Researcher Margarida Maneta presented findings from the project, focusing on how young immigrant audiences from non-Western regions express pessimistic sentiments about social and communication issues. The presentation sparked important discussions on the relationship between media consumption and societal concerns, highlighting these communities’ digital challenges in today’s globalized world.
