Youth and Disinformation at European Conference

Ana Filipa Oliveira, our lab’s member, participated in the National Conference of the European Youth Parliament of the Netherlands 2024, held in Utrecht from May 23 to 27. She was a panelist on Youth and Disinformation, alongside experts Frederica Russo and Milou Vollebregt. The session, attended by about 100 young people, discussed the impact of disinformation on citizenship, the importance of media and digital literacy, and opportunities in the digital age for youth engagement. The event also highlighted issues of disinformation and political propaganda ahead of the 2024 European elections and promoted the YouNDigital initiative, which invites contributions from young Europeans.
