Selma Pereira publishes two papers in ARTeFACTo 2024 Macao proceedings

Researcher Selma Pereira, from the MeLCi Lab – Media Literacy and Civic Cultures Lab, has contributed two co-authored papers to the ARTeFACTo 2024 Macao – 4th International Conference on Digital Creation in Arts, Media, and Technology, held on 5–6 December 2024 at the University of Saint Joseph, Macau.

  1. “Personal Digital Narratives as a Tool for Culturally Sustainable Online Teaching and Learning” (with Adérito Fernandes-Marcos and António Maneira) explores how digital storytelling supports inclusion, cultural interaction, and the preservation of intangible heritage in e-learning contexts.

  2. “Hands – Reimagining Craft Traditions and Urban Expression” (with Adérito Fernandes-Marcos) presents a digital artifact blending textile craftsmanship with urban aesthetics through a post-digital lens. The work highlights how digital rematerialisation can foster dialogue between tradition and innovation.

📘 Both papers are published in the official ARTeFACTo 2024 Macao Conference Proceedings (ISBN: 978-99981-138-2-4), edited by the University of Saint Joseph.
