From Policy to Practice: Advancing GenAI Literacy in Higher Education
As generative AI continues to transform teaching and learning, higher education institutions are increasingly challenged to move beyond policy discussions and translate them into meaningful educational practice.
In response to this need, the Media & Learning Association is hosting an upcoming webinar titled “From Policy to Practice: Advancing GenAI Literacy in Higher Education”, taking place on 20 May 2026. The session will explore how universities can effectively support both educators and students in developing the knowledge and skills required to engage with generative AI in a critical, ethical, and pedagogically sound way.
The webinar will introduce the AI-LITERATE project, which focuses on fostering AI literacy across higher education through practical and accessible approaches. Participants will gain insights into current institutional responses to generative AI, as well as concrete strategies for embedding AI literacy into curricula and teaching practices.
Bringing together perspectives from policy and practice, the session aims to support educators, learning designers, and institutional leaders in navigating the opportunities and challenges of generative AI in education.
