Lucia Mesquita appointed International Engagement Editor of Digital Journalism

Digital Journalism has announced the appointment of Lucia Mesquita as its new International Engagement Editor. Lucia Mesquita is a researcher at the MeLCi Lab, with expertise in Media and Information Literacy, journalism studies, information disorders, the political economy of journalism, and journalism safety, and nearly 30 years of professional experience in communication and journalism. As International Engagement Editor, Lucia Mesquita will work closely with the journal’s editorial team to strengthen Digital Journalism’s global reach and international dialogue, particularly by fostering engagement across diverse geographical, cultural, and epistemic contexts. Her appointment reinforces the journal’s commitment to plural perspectives and to amplifying research voices from around the world.
